Then, if you choose, catch the free holiday trolley that loops between the library and the Downtown Waterfront (in front of the Aquarium). Once there, you can:
Get more information about amenities and things to do on the waterfront at our bi-lingual touchpoint
Visit sites of historic significance (Middle Passage Marker)
Sightsee the 30+ more sculptures around Boston's waterfront at Boston Harbor Now's Ice Sculpture Stroll
In addition, trolley riders can select one of two different activity packages (free, supply limited):
For those who want to explore indoors: Stay warm with a visit to the New England Aquarium (free admission); or
For those who want to explore the outdoors: Ride the Greenway Carousel and grab a hot chocolate (coupon provided to redeem at locally-owned businesses on the waterfront).
If you want to stay later and get home on your own, check out First Night activities on City Hall Plaza and Boston Harbor Now's NYE Fireworks.
All activities are free and open to all; no advance registration required. Please help us spread the word to family, neighbors, and friends. Download and share Flyer PDF or Flyer JPG.
